The Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care coordinates the Longitudinal Primary Health Care Exposure for all medical students in years 1-3 of the new MBChB programme, and teaches on family medicine and primary care within the associated curriculum. The Division also delivers teaching in planetary health throughout years 1-3. The Division will help coordinate and deliver the Distributed Apprenticeship module in year 6 of the new curriculum.
Within the old MBChB curriculum the Division delivers rotations in primary health care and family medicine for students in the middle phase in rural district hospitals and the late phase in urban primary care facilities.?
